I must admit to feeling a little relieved when I read this article. When the torch was running through Toronto and the local CTV newscasters were going on and on and on... about what an amazing experience it was, I was seething with bitterness. Like many Canadians who applied to run with the torch, I had no idea it was privilage that was to be sold to the highest bidding sponsor.
Glad at least one of the torch bearers felt some remorse. Hope she doesn't get to write off the torch purchase as a business expense.
